The seventh membership spotlight of the spring semester is Olatunji Coleman, a junior public relations major. This is Ola’s first year as a member of PRSSA and he is an active participant! Ola can often be found networking with guest speakers and attending PRSSA events.
Here is a Q&A session with Olatunji:
Q: What is your major/minor?
A: My major is Public Relations and I minor in Spanish.
Q: Why do you love PRSSA? What do you hope to get out of it?
A: I love PRSSA because it has been one of the few opportunities that I have had to connect with my classroom peers on a more casual level. I hope to continue to network with my peers and become great friends with all of them. I also would love insight into the profession from experienced Public Relations practitioners.
Q: What committee are you a part of? What have you done with this committee?
A: I am a part of the Digital Committee.
Q: What other TU organizations are you a part of?
A: I am also the Director of Professional Development and Relations for Entrepreneurial Student Association (ESA).
Q: What is the coolest place you’ve ever visited?
A: The coolest place that I have traveled to was Nafplio, Greece. The Greek countryside is simply breathtaking. The crisp blue water was beautiful.
Q: Favorite social media platform and why?
A: My favorite social media app is Twitter. I love Twitter because it connects me with credible news sources as well as being the funniest social media that there is. Twitter is multifaceted, that is why I love it.
Q: Dream job?
A: My dream job is working in-house team for a large company like Google or Apple in California. I also would love to work for PR in non-profit, raising awareness to a necessary cause like disease research or missing persons organizations!
