Why do you love PRSSA? I joined PRSSA my sophomore year hoping to learn more about public relations and to create professional and personal relationships. Since joining, that is exactly what I have done. My love for the communications field has grown and I now have a better understanding of what I want to do after graduating. Along the way, I’ve also been able to meet knowledgeable professionals who enjoy helping college students develop professionally. I may not have learned everything I now know about public relations if I hadn’t joined, and I hope after graduating in May, I can continue to stay involved and give back to the members of PRSSA.
What committee are you in and what have you done with the committee this semester? I am in the newsletter committee and will be writing about how I took charge of my public relations education during my time at Temple. I love being part of the newsletter committee because it helps me both to improve and be more creative with my writing.
Dream Job: Work in marketing communications for a global corporation and be in charge of their internship program, leadership development programs and diversity initiatives.
Favorite social media platform: LinkedIn and Twitter – they’re both great for staying in touch with others, staying aware of what’s going on in the news and learning of new job opportunities.
Coolest place you’ve ever traveled to: Spain- I studied abroad there for a month last summer and fell head-over-heels in love with the culture.
