Dream Job? To be the creator of a new social media platform that would be as popular as Instagram and Twitter. Realistically, to work in corporate communications for a company I adore.

Introducing Rachel Draghi, 2013-2014 Director of Mentorship!

R.Draghi photo  (1)Rachel is a junior at TU studying Strategic Communication with concentrations in Public Relations and Leadership.  This will be Rachel’s first year on the executive board and she’s looking forward to managing the Mentorship Program, which helps create mutually beneficial relationships between older and younger chapter members. Favorite part of PRSSA: Hearing the wide variety of guest speakers speak about public relations in each of their different respective fields, learning skills such as resume building, networking and have an appropriate social media presence and meeting and interacting with other members of PRSSA.

Hobbies: Reading both books and fashion blogs, watching classic and modern movies, exploring the city, trying new restaurants, as well as cooking.

Favorite part of PRSSA: I love the endless opportunities provided to members of PRSSA. There’s constantly meetings, events, networking opportunities, and social gatherings that allow members to constantly interact and do what they do best: PR.

3 words to describe yourself? Creative, personable, and motivated.

Hobbies: Although I don’t have any particular hobbies that stand out, in what little free time I have, I try to relax with friends, go to the gym, try new restaurants in the city, and make the best of my collegiate career.

Your favorite spot in Philadelphia? My favorite spot in Philadelphia is Washington Square. They’ve got the best restaurants, including one of my favorites, Zinc.

Weirdest food you’ve ever tried? Either alligator bites or escargot. Both delicious though.

What’s something you can’t live without? I absolutely cannot live without music. In some way, I’m constantly listening to music and my iPod is basically attached to my hip.

Favorite Social Media platform: From a PR standpoint, I think Twitter is amazing for brands to take advantage of. Personally, I’m addicted to Pinterest!

Weirdest food I’ve ever tried: That would probably be a tie between alligator and ostrich. I will always try anything once.

Dream Job: I wish I knew! I really like fashion and lifestyle, but I’m not sure if that’s where I’ll end up. I know for sure that I want to be able to travel a lot though!
