President: Brianna Rooney
Brianna is a senior majoring in strategic communication with a focus in public relations, and minoring in French. She has been involved in PRSSA since 2010 and has previously served as the Director of Alumni Relations and Director of Mentorship. Brianna spent the spring of 2013 semester studying abroad in Paris, where she fell in love with the language, culture and food. She has interned at The Wilma Theater in Development, was a member of PRowl Public Relations for one year and is highly interested in non-profit PR. Vice President: Amber Burns
Amber is a sophomore strategic communication major with minors in Spanish and history. This is her second year involved with PRSSA, and also her second year with PRowl Public Relations. In her role as Director of PR, Amber will also take over the duties of the Director of Social Media. She serves as PRowl’s Director of Public Relations as well. Amber has experience interning with Skai Blue Media and with Womego as a social media intern. Amber’s favorite types of PR are lifestyle and non-profit. Vice President of Public Relations: Cara Graeff
Cara is a junior majoring in strategic communication with a focus in public relations and minoring in general business studies. This is her third year as a member of PRSSA and her second year on the executive board, having previously served as the Director of Internal Affairs. Cara is also a staff member of PRowl Public Relations and a member of Phi Sigma Pi, National Honors Fraternity. She has interned with Skai Blue Media and is most interested in lifestyle and non-profit PR. Cara loves to travel and plans to study abroad in London in spring 2014. Vice President of Fundraising: Darwin Paz
Darwin is a senior strategic communication major and political science minor. He has been involved with PRSSA for three years, previously serving as the Director of Development. Darwin has previous experience interning for The Mayor’s Press Office and prior experience interning for RTC- a Wunderman network agency in Washington D.C. working on account management with Pfizer and AARP. His favorite type of PR is crisis communications and public affairs. Treasurer: Christiana Barile
Christiana is a junior majoring in strategic communications with a focus in public relations and minoring in public health: drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Christiana became involved in PRSSA at the beginning of her sophomore year at TempleUniversity and looks forward to being the Treasurer of PRSSA this upcoming year. She was an intern for Phillybass’d Entertainment in Philadelphia and Porter Novelli in New York City this past summer. Christiana loves attending concerts and plans to study abroad in Barcelona in the near future. Her favorite type of PR is entertainment and lifestyle. Directors of Regional Conference: Amanda White and Jaime Martorana
Amanda is a junior majoring in Strategic Communication with a concentration in public relations. As a second year member of PRSSA, she is now the Director of Regional Conference for the chapter. She is also an Account Executive for PRowl Public Relations. Amanda loves everything PR but her favorite type is Lifestyle. She has had two beneficial internships with small agencies in the past- Jubelirer Strategies and Sevag Public Relations. Amanda is also involved in Greek life, as a sister of Alpha Epsilon Phi. Amanda loves meeting new people and can strike up a conversation with anyone! Talk to her about interview advice, blogging troubles, and anything Greek!
Jaime is a junior majoring in strategic communication with a minor in general business. She changed her major to Strategic Communication at the beginning of her sophomore year and has not looked back since! This fall will be her first full semester on the PRSSA executive and her second as a staff member of PRowl Public Relations. This past summer, Jaime interned for the city of Philadelphia in the Office of the City Representative working on numerous city events like Wawa Welcome America! and the PhiladelphiaMarathon. Temple Student Government Rep: Kelly Dougherty
Kelly is a junior strategic communication and media studies and production double major. This is her second year as a member of PRSSA and her first year serving on the executive board. This is also Kelly’s second year as staff member of PRowl public relations and her first year serving as the firm’s secretary. Kelly loves everything Temple and is an Owl Ambassador at the University. She has interned with wired 96.5 and 92.5 XTU radio stations where she helped promote the stations at different events. She hopes to pursue a career in the entertainment industry someday. Talk to her about social media, pop culture, and food!
Director of Community Service:Caitlin Kummeth
Caitlin is a goal oriented junior with a concentration in public relations, minoring in sociology and communications sciences/disorders. Her energy and passion to make a difference shines within the community serving as Event Coordinator for Temple’s Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, Dancer Recruitment Chair for Hootathon and now embracing Director of Community Service for Temple’s Chapter of PRSSA. Caitlin has been an active member of PRSSA since freshman year, previously holding the position of Director of Mentorship. She also serves as a member of PRowl Public Relations. Previous internships include Fashion PR for Skai Blue Media and this past summer she continued her niche for charity work interning for two non-profit groups; Variety- The Children’s Charity of Philadelphia and The NephCure Foundation. She dreams to travel the world, dabble in the Big Apple and work with children. Secretary: Lizz Vo
Lizz is a senior majoring in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in General Business Studies. This is her second year as a PRSSA member, previously being involved in the PR Committee. Lizz’s dream is to do PR in the fashion industry. She is currently a Press and Publicity intern at Staff USA in New York, which has clients such as Maison Martin Margiela and DSquared2. Director of Social Media: Tyler Cameron
Tyler is a junior Strategic Communication major and General Business Studies minor. He has been a part of PRSSA since 2012 and is excited to have been elected onto the executive board as Director of Social Media. As a first-time member of the executive board, he is thrilled to be able to represent the voice of TemplePRSSA through social networking. He is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the club swimming team. Tyler is most interested the government and political sides of public relations, as well as the agency aspect.
Firm Director, PRowl Public Relations: Kaitlyn Sutton
Kaitlyn is a senior strategic communication major, with a concentration in public relations. She has been involved with PRSSA since 2011. Kaitlyn serves as the current Firm Director for PRowl Public Relations. She is also involved with Greek life on campus and will be organizing sorority recruitment this fall. This past summer, Kaitlyn interned as a social media brand ambassador with the Atlantic City Alliance, a non-profit tourism entity focused on non-gaming activities set in place to help revitalize the city’s reputation. This fall she will be interning with Victoria’s Secret: PINK for their Campus Rep program. She hopes to eventually work in lifestyle public relations or corporate communications. Director of Mentorship: Rachel Draghi
Rachel is junior strategic communication major with a focus on public relations, and minoring in leadership. Rachel has been involved with PRSSA since her freshman year and is eagerly looking forward to taking on the role of Director of Mentorship and being able to connect different members within the organization. She is also a member of the Fashion and Business Club here at Temple. Looking forward to the coming 2013-14 school year, Rachel is excited to be a member on the executive board and working alongside the other board members to help create the best possible PRSSA experience for the new and returning general members. Vice President of Programming- Allie Antenucci
Allie is a junior strategic communications major with a focus in public relations, and minoring in general business studies. This is her second year involved in PRSSA, and has previously held the executive board position of Director of Special Events. Allie has experience as a fashion intern at Skai Blue Media, a fashion and lifestyle PR firm. She has also interned at the convention and visitor’s bureau, VisitBucksCounty. Allie is also the public relations chair of the Greek organization, Phi Sigma Sigma. She also has an interest in non-profit PR and volunteers for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
